In December Magma Aviation assisted in the transportation of electronic components from the Czech Republic to Iceland, utilising a Smartlynx A321F aircraft for the charter.
The cargo was extremely specialised and high-value, which combined with the critical need for timely delivery and the heavy snow and extreme cold temperatures in Iceland, meant that meticulous preparation and loading was required.
Thanks to the exceptional collaboration between Magma Aviation’s Commercial Projects Manager, Justina Sasnauskaite, and Smartlynx’s Loadmaster, Juozas Namavicius, the operation went smoothly, and almost sixty tonnes of valuable and critical cargo was delivered promptly and safely.
Juozas commented, “I’m proud to have been involved in every step of the process – from the cargo arrival at the warehouse, to ULD (unit load device) buildup and aircraft loading. The flight did present challenges, and it’s a testament to our shared teamwork and adaptability that we overcame these hurdles to ensure a seamless operation.”
Justina added, “We had fantastic support from everyone involved, and by prioritising communication from A to Z we are able to guarantee successful charters every time.”
